If you would like to learn more about our licensing options, please contact us to receive a detailed informational packet. Please note which licensing option(s) you are interested in.
As a note: J.Pera Designs does not manufacture or have pre-fabricated textiles or samples for sale. We are not a retailer. We create designs for you to license—we can work along side you or your collaborators to have the design and quantities you desire manufactured and produced if you do not have an existing manufacturing connection.
A Journey Awaits
Jill Zachman—our lead designer—will work with you to create a design that is specific to you and your space. This unfolds through a unique process combining print making and translation of the resulting etching print into a fabric design. You will receive both a signed fine art etching of your design and an electronic file containing the resulting textile design. These may be shared with your collaborators and/or manufacturer. The design is licensed solely to you for the first year.
01. Discovering Your Story
Our principal designer, Jill Zachman collaborates directly with you to ensure your story, ideas, and intent are encapsulated in your own design. Jill’s process begins with conceiving a design that captures a memorable moment in your time, space, culture, and history.
02. Copper Plate Etching
An original one-off, hand-produced etching is created by our lead designer on a copper plate. This plate serves as the foundation for your custom design. Only after preparation of the copper plates does our custom design of your textile begin. A fine art print of the original etching is created just for you.
03. Application Design
Jill creates a memorable design composition that can be applied to your specific objects/spaces. She creates a series of varied compositions from which you may select a final design. As an option, we produce design renders that illustrates how the chosen design and composition will look on your object/space.
Once the design and licensing is completed you are free to work with any manufacturer that meets our quality standards. If you do not have a working relationship with manufacturers we will work with you to find the most suitable option from our existing network of trusted professionals.
